While there could be many accomplishments to MQM's credit for Urdu speaking community and there is no doubt about it. But on the other hand it has also isolated them from the rest of country as an ethnic minority. After the recent killings in Karachi, the loud and clear message has been conveyed by the establishment to MQM leadership to get their act together and restore peace in Karachi.
